I love trans folks and I am deeply concerned about both the escalation of anti-trans rhetoric and the rising tide of anti-trans legislation in the U.S. Not only do these alarming trends make the lives of trans folks more difficult and dangerous, but any assault on bodily autonomy for one group diminishes freedom for other groups as well. The Trans Formations Project is doing the work to educate about and fight against these dangers. From their website:

“The Trans Formations Project is a trans-led, grassroots and volunteer-driven 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization dedicated to both informing about and advocating against the anti-trans legislative crisis in the United States. To these ends, we maintain a database of all anti-trans legislation that has been introduced since 2021, when our organization was founded, in all 50 states and nationally. We also maintain a database of contact information for all representatives both at the national and state level, as well as their voting records on anti-trans legislation both in committee and on the floor. We use our database and our team of researchers to publish a weekly newsletter of all happenings in the trans advocacy space in the US as well as maintain a robust social media presence. Above all, we are grounded in community and committed to providing our information accurately, actionably, and accessibly.”
